Heat
Heat, which we will discuss in more detail in the next chapter, is
a form of energy associated with the internal kinetic energy of the
atoms and molecules which make up a substance. However, as we shall
also see in the next chapter, it is also a special form of energy with
regards to its ability to transform into other forms of energy.
