Modern Technology December exam
There are two parts to this exam - multiple choice and
short answer. You will need to fetch two additional
files - the exam itself and
an answer template for the
multiple choice section (save these files using the
Save As
choice in the File
menu of your browser, and choose the format to be
of type text
).
Please do the exam as follows:
- For the 60 multiple choice questions, please
use the answer template -- this consists of a series of
numbers, one per line. Please fill in your name on this
template in the space indicated, and fill out your answers
to the multiple choice questions (A, B, C,
or D) on this template as in the following example:
- A
- D
- C
Please just place one single letter on each line, after the
question number.
- For the 20 short answer questions, fill in your answers
on the exam itself. Please also remember to fill in your
name in the space indicated. I'm looking here for answers of
one or two sentences only (the space left for the answers
on the exam should be about right) - please don't be
too verbose here.
Please mail both the completed exam file and the
answer template as text files only to
modtech@theory.uwinnipeg.ca by midnight tonight.
No exams after this time will be accepted except under
quite unusual circumstances. I will send you an
acknowledgement the same day that the exam has been received - if
you don't get such a message, that means your exam didn't
reach me.
If you have any questions about the exam itself, send an email
to
modtech@theory.uwinnipeg.ca. Apart from this, though,
no communication with others regarding the exam is allowed.
In the event of a network or general computer failure, either
on our end or yours, just keep trying .... If our network
goes down, your mailer will automatically keep trying to
send the mail until our network
comes back up. If you get a warning that the mail
could not be delivered after, say, 4 hours, but it will
keep trying, don't worry, as eventually it will get through.
If you get a permanent or fatal error, that
means exactly that ... In such an event, try sending the
completed exam to
kobes@io.uwinnipeg.ca, as that part of the network
might be working. Also check the conference board on
the course site for further information.
Good luck, and have a great holiday season!
